ASTORFLEX - The good shoe

Visiting shoe factories to understand the craftsmanship of the products we offer is essential for CappellettoShop. As per our tradition, we finally visited Astorflex, in Castel d'Ario, in the province of Mantua.

Fabio and Franco welcomed us to a company that is now in its sixth generation , active since 1820. From the production of poplar wood clogs, they have moved on to extraordinary artisanal processes, carried out by master shoemakers, such as the Ideal process, which is known for the particular flexibility and resistance of the footwear.

The production process is guided by principles that are profoundly respectful of nature: the use of natural materials, vegetable tanning that gives the shoes an authentically handmade look, 100% natural crepe soles, insoles made from natural materials derived from corn, and a neutral, antibacterial calfskin lining that ensures optimal sweat absorption. Every detail reflects their way of living and working.

We were fascinated by this reality: a 100% Italian company, with a controlled supply chain that respects both the environment and the health of those who work in the laboratory and those who wear their shoes.

Discovering companies like this makes you understand how "authentic" Made in Italy is and how much passion entrepreneurs like Fabio and Franco of Astorflex put into their work. We're honored to collaborate with artisans of this caliber: it's a source of pride for us and a privilege for our customers.

Starting today, exclusively at CappellettoShop, you'll find the new Pontflex ankle boot , a sample of which was made in less than two hours during our on-site visit: what professionalism, dear CappellettoLovers! In addition to this brand-new model, Cappelletto has selected other ongoing Astorflex styles that will be available year-round.
